The duo of Ntong Lucky and Akuba Ignatius have been named winners of the newly re-introduced Buruj Sports Academy monthly awards.
In a poll by all the players, Ntong was voted the club's Most Valuable Player of the month of April while Akuba was adjudged the Best Behaved for the same period.
Ntong got the nod of his teammates after scoring five goals in nine matches to lead the goals charts for the Academy and Akuba was chosen for his leadership qualities and comportment on and off the pitch.
Speaking on the development, the CEO Dr Salaudeen Waheed said the management decided to resuscitate the awards in order to encourage the players and get them to perform to their utmost best.
He said: "The players voted but the management also had an input in order to ensure there was no case of favouritism. The awards were suspended before but we decided to bring it back and judging from the response of the players, I think it was a good decision."
Buruj Academy are due to travel out to the United Kingdom for the Manchester Cup in July.
