Obasanjo Supports Youthocracy..... Meets Tunde Eso, Ahmed Buhari and Tosin Ajibare

The clamour for young people to be part of governance in Africa especially Nigeria is gathering momentum as some youth aspirants teamed up to solicit support from the former President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo Thursday 9th November, 2017 at his Presidential Library, Abeokuta.

Obasanjo while chatting with the aspirants said Nigerians didn't remember that he lost any election, but he lost the election for the seat of the United Nations Secretary General. According to him, he tried his best in the election and emphasized that he is totally in support of the youth.

He said, "no venture, no gain and for the youth to take over governance in Nigeria cum Africa, they must play their part. He became head of state at 37yesrs and left at 42".

Tunde Eso, 40, 2018 Osun State Governorship aspirant under Peoples Democratic Party, who presented the books African Security Solution and Vision for Africa where he coined new system of government called Youthocracy authored by him to Obasanjo said at the meeting that their major interest is to render selfless service through the injection of a new ideology into governance by the youth for pragmatic development in Osun State and Nigeria including Africa in general.

Ahmed Buhari, 39, a Presidential aspirant said apart from the fact that he has the  constitutional right to contest elective positions, he has the passion to serve Nigerians with a view to providing equal opportunities for all.

Babajide Akin-Thomas the Regional President of EMFRICA, a non- governmental organization set to empower young people across Africa, said he is excited that young people are now taking the bull by the horn, that with our energy as youth will can make Nigeria better.

Tosin Ajibare, Ekiti State Governorship aspirant under Independent Democratic Party said youth inclusion in governance has been in existence for long, but all we are clamouring for is for the youth to take over and together we can attain the desired vision.
