Ends of a good nation

In the words of the Buddha, the enlightened one,

Siddhartha Gautama, he identifies the eight fold of reducing suffering: right act, right thought, right speech and right occupation to mention but a few.  A lot of us have disillusioned and fragmented thoughts.

This cannot all be a product of change in any country, and Nigeria will be 62 but has not yes achieved the enviable high even in Africa. If we take a careful gaze at Nigerian youths today, a considerable number of them wish to get rich without work, but you inquire why this happens? Its nothing but unnecessary craving: crime, murder, suicide as all become the order of the day due to our profligate cravings which as brought about neurotic and irrational act that propelled disunity, incongruous and disquiet leaving.

Examine our leaders who get portfolios of office all in the ludicrous aim of embezzling public funds, they soil their reputation on the road to amazing maximum wealth: being chased by financial crime agencies (ICPC and EFCC) in spite of the fortune they have before assuming office, and even the entitlement they have to get after leaving office, they still stack away public funds in foreign banks But the question that strikes my mind is this? But they can’t possibly think of this because they have lost touch with positive thought what do they expect from their followers” I am waiting for a time when we will have leaders like Mahatma Gandhi who fought for India’s independent without selfish interest or personal gains, or Peter the Great who brought colossal development to USSR when he was the Caesar; he went to Western Europe to bring home important ideas to his country; or just to use a close example Thabo Mbeki former South African President who indicted by his party and asked to vacate his office, all these leaders of exemplary qualities.

If we can begin to build leaders with right thought and right act, leaders who will not fight for their pockets only, leaders who will think of others and not themselves alone, those who will not pervert justice when it not in their favour and honorably step down if asked to do so, and those who will initiate developmental ideas but not steal public funds to foreign banks, we can fly above the altitudes of kwashiorkor growth. If the people develop right

Concepts and act, not exploiting their fellow men, refusing to have what you have not worked for and youth who will go against social crime and unnecessary menace, we can begin to get to a blazing glory and sing a new song for Nigeria to become the mother of all Nations.
