1: My name is COMRADE (ENGR.) ERAGBE ANSLEM APHIMIA (C.REG: COA). I am the Edo North 2023 Senatorial Candidate of the Labour Party (LP); the incumbent National Youth Leader of Labour Party (LP) in Nigeria, and the National Organizing Secretary of the Academic Staff Union of Research Institutions (ASURI) in Nigeria (2011-2022).
2: In complying with the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2022 and the INEC 2023 election guidelines and schedule for the basic or minimum educational qualification requirement as part of the criteria for contesting election into the Senate of the federal republic of Nigeria, I wish to submit as follows:
3: That I am from Okpekpe Clan in Etsako East Local Government Area, LGA of Edo State, South-South Nigeria.
I was born 7th October, 1972 in Ibadan Oyo State, Nigeria.
I began my primary school education in Ortsele primary school, Okpekpe in the old Bendel State from 1979 –1981, and continued at Army Barracks Primary School 2, Epe, Lagos State from 1981-1984 where I obtained my primary school leaving certificate, PSLC in 1984.
4: I attended Army Children High School, Epe Lagos State from 1985–1991 where I obtained my Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, SSCE under the 6-3-3-4 System of Education that began in Lagos State in 1985 as a pioneer student of that system of education in Nigeria.
5: I proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria, from 1997–2005 where I obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Metallurgical Engineering, 2005.
While in ABU, Zaria, I served in various leadership positions and capacities culminating in my emergence as the elected First Executive President of the Ahmadu Bello University Students Union Government, ABUSUG, ABU, Zaria on 9th September, 2002 – 2004.
6: I joined the Federal Civil Service in 2011 with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI, a Parastatal/Agency under the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation, FMSTI. NASENI is now reputed to be under the Presidency.
I became the NASENI Branch Chairman and also doubled as the National Organizing Secretary of the Academic Staff Union of Research Institutions (ASURI) from 2011-2022.
7: I am a certified and registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN 2013
8: I am a graduate of the Word of Faith Bible Institute, WOFBI, Living Faith Church worldwide with certificates awarded in: BCC 2013, LCC 2014 and LDC 2020
9: This declaration of intention, will enable me bring my wealth of experience to bear positively in Edo North Senatorial District in particular and Nigeria in general: professionally, economically and politically in our efforts at rebuilding the nation 2023-2053.
In this regards, our initiatives shall translate to engaging the numerous for national development through productivity optimization.
10: It has become glaring that Nigerians desire and demand a new kind of leadership style based on knowledge economy which will synchronize global realities through innovation, job creation and wealth generation.
This new kind of leadership will cultivate the creative ingenuity and productive energies of young Nigerians.
11: As a COREN certified Metallurgical and Materials Engineer, I am aware of the inherent and urgent expectations to get Nigeria out of the woods. I solemnly declare that I am prepared for the task ahead.
The extent of my preparedness is manifest in our design of a functional economic blueprint “THE TRAFG ROADMAP VISION 2023-2053” whose implementation will enable me hit the ground running in delivering the much expected dividends of democracy that will lead to the emergence of a New Nigeria 2023-2053 on the platform of effective leadership training, capacity building and character development.
12: fellow Nigerians, we shall learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow (Isaiah 1:17). If we be willing and obedient, we shall eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1:19).
My commitment to these timeless principles of Equity, Fairness, Fair Play, Parity, Justice and Judgment shall be the propelling factors in my service to God and humanity.
Contained in our expansive and well articulated national developmental plan, is the TRAFG ROADMAP VISION 2023-2053 MANIFESTO.
13: The “TRAFG ROADMAP VISION 2023-2053″ MANIFESTO will set the stage for the cardinal principles and focus upon which the Labour Party (LP) manifesto will be anchored to deploy labour party’s social democratic values and norms in the implementation of its economic philosophies that will lead to the emergence of a new Nigerian 2023-2053.
14: In implementing the mandate of my office as the National Organizing Secretary of the Academic Staff Union of Research Institutions(ASURI) in Nigeria 2011-2022; we have provided national solution to the seemingly intractable housing deficit development, delivery and payment modes, that will lead to the development and delivery of qualitative and affordable houses across the 774 LGAs in Nigeria for civil servants and non-civil servants alike 2022-2047 on mortgage repayments basis over 25 years tenor.
15: Our vision has also achieved an approved funding for the entire Research sector in Nigeria, for the next 25 years through foreign direct Investment loan funding at single digit interest rate for the implementation of the National Research and Innovation Mandates, NRIM, nationwide 2022-2047 for national infrastructural development, wealth generation and job creation.
16: I believe that, our government in 2023 shall summon the requisite courage to bring to the fore, certain critical and burning contentious national issues through constructive engagements and dialogue.
By so doing, we shall be able to harmonize those burning issues in such a way that we can truly begin to rebuilding a strong, virile and vibrant socio-economic andr political system in Nigeria 2023-2053 as it affects the various agitations across the geo-political zones, decaying and dilapidating national infrastructures, failing educational standards and abysmally poor healthcare delivery system in Nigeria, etc.
17: We have encapsulated these socio-economic and political details in our aggressive national development plan as evinced in our TRAFG ROADMAP VISION 2023-2053 to be unveiled with financial projections and cost benefits analysis of investment proposals that will account for critical and sensitivity analysis, financial profitability and economic viability analysis targeted to aggressively grow the New Nigerian Economy 2023-2053.
18: There is no gain saying that Nigeria has been dubbed the butt of nations categorizing it as the poverty capital of the world.
I wish to state that Nigeria occupying this position of the poverty capital of the world is unacceptable to me as an aspiring Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2023.
This is because of the landmark achievements we have made working with the National Leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Research Institutions ASURI in the last 12 years (2011-2022) is to ensure that Nigeria works again and takes its pride of place in the community of developed nations.
19: As a Metallurgical and Materials Engineer, I know that by harnessing the abundant human and materials resources Nigeria is endowed with, we shall be able to attain the goal of productivity optimization by engaging the numerous to achieving landmark peace, progress, prosperity and cohesion as a united people using Research.
