Lagos State Command Felicitates with CG on Second Year Anniversary, Celebrates World Civil Defence Day

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, fdc, mnim, mpa, fisn, felicitates with the Commandant General, NSCDC, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, on his second year in office.

CC Alfadarai describes the profound, prolific, punctilious and indefatigable CG, who has since the last two years in office moved the Corps forward in multi -dimensional areas such as ; training and retraining of personnel, digitalization of the Corps, advancement of the corps' public relations, establishment of special female squad to end violence against women and school children, creation of Commandant General's Special Intelligence Squad and Commandant General's Anti - Vandal Monitoring Squad and establishment of Desk Officers for Human Right and Persons with Disabilities amongst many unspeakable achievements.

However, given the current political situation in the country, the Lagos State Command of the Corps has decided to mark the World Civil Defence Day ( WCDD ), often celebrated, on 1st March of every year in a low key.

"The theme of this year's celebration tagged, 'The Role of Information Technologies In Risk Assessments,' was apt especially, at this critical time in our nation's history and trajectory," Alfadarai said.

Having congratulated the CG, on this year's celebration, he seized the opportunity to commend officers and men of the Command, on their professional and clinical conduct during the just recently held Presidential and National Assembly  elections in the state. He charged them to do more and raise the bar in the forthcoming Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections on Saturday, 11th March 2023.

Finally, CC UI Alfadarai promised to upscale the command, with innovations and inventions afforded by technologies, to assess risks, situations, operational mappings and other kinetic and non - kinetic systems , in a bid to bursts crimes and criminalities often perpetrated by oil thieves, vandals, economic saboteurs and unscrupulous elements in the state .
