Remembering Funso Williams Killed 17 Years Ago

The executive members of Afenifere National Youth Council in a brief meeting held 27th of July, 2023 remembered the late Engineer Funso Williams who was set to win the governorship election in Lagos State under the ACN in 2007.  Unfortunately, he was murdered in his bedroom at his Dolphin Estate residence. 

Prince Eniola Ojajuni, National President of Afenifere National Youth Council reminded that the current President Bola Tinubu as the then Governor of Lagos State had pledged to pay a ransom to whomsoever could fish out his killers. Till date nothing concrete has been achieved.

As the Commander - in-Chief of the Armed Forces, we urge the president to use his position to intensify his efforts at  uncovering the killers of Funso Williams. In his life time, he was an outstanding role model and his family will be grateful knowing fully well that justice has finally prevailed.

Tunde Eso National Director of Communications and Strategy of Afenifere National Youth Council and others executives members of Afenifere National Youth Council also use this medium to appeal to fellow compatriots to join the move at revealing who killed Engineer Williams, to face the arms of the law and serve as deterrent to those with similar intention.
