…Says He is an Excellent Manager of Men and Resources

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) felicitates with the Acting National Chairman of our great Party, His Excellency Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum on his birthday today.

Ambassador Damagum is an accomplished diplomat, consummate banker, brilliant manager of resources in both public and private sectors, courageous politician and highly experienced Party administrator who remains steadfast in his roles towards the stability, unity and development of our Party and the Nation.

Over the years, Ambassador Damagum has distinguished himself as a Statesman and highly ingenious manager of men and resources especially in his excellent performance as Nigeria's Ambassador to Romania, his pivotal roles in the Nigerian Shippers Council, Yobe State Investment and Yobe State Housing Corporation among others.

The PDP notes with pride the deft manner with which Ambassador Damagun, as Deputy National Chairman (North), discharged his duties alongside other Party leaders to ensure the success of our Party in the 2023 General Election Campaigns.

Our Party also recalls his selfless service as the Financial Secretary of the PDP in Yobe State, Chairman, Adamawa State PDP Caretaker Committee, Director General of Yobe State Gubernatorial Election Campaign and later as Secretary of the 2013 PDP National Reconciliation Committee, where he played key roles in ensuring peace and stability in our Party.
