Muyideen Ajanaku 43, is the Lagos State Chapter Coordinator
of Fix Nigeria Group, was People’s Democratic Party Local Government
Chairmanship flag bearer for Isolo Local Council development area in 2017
council election in Lagos State and holds a degree in Business Administation
from University of Lagos currently studying Post Graduate Diploma in Business
Administration at Lagos State University.
In this interview with Findout Newspaper, he spoke on his
activities as Fix Nigeria Group Lagos coordinator and that Nigeria youth are
ready to take over leadership.
You are the Lagos State coordinator of Fix Nigeria Group,
what is your hope for a better Lagos State?
We hope for a better Lagos that will further fix the needs
of Lagosians as our name implies.
Do you think Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu is on a right track to
make Lagos State a better state for her residence?
I want to be neural on Governor Sanwo-Olu performances in
100 days, but rather advice him to try and buckle up on dispensing the dividend
of democracy to lagosians.
One of the major objective of Fix Nigeria Group is to
educate and train the women and youth to be self reliance, what step is the
group taking to attain that?
We have done some youth empowerment at the National level.
But here in Lagos, we are working on donors, financiers and good wishers for
sponsorship, also, creating awareness so that when it’s time for the
empowerment people will listen to us and respond when we call on them because
we would have reached everybody. We would surely contribute our quota through
more intensive training, empowerment and running of educative programs.
Do you think the youth are ready to take over governance in
Nigeria?
There is no doubt about the youths taking over the mantle of
leadership; the percentage of the youths that are ready to over leadership is
alarming. Even as we speak, the national coordinator of Fix Nigeria Group, in
the person of Tunde Eso is a youth and his is doing greatly well in that
direction, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State in the South West appointed a 27
year old personality as Commissioner for Youth and Sport and the speaker of the
same state is a youth. Oyo State has set
the stage for others to emulate, these are some of the proof that the youth are
ready to take over the mantle of leadership in Nigeria again.
How do you spend your weekend?
Currently, i don't have a weekend. i go for lectures every
Saturday and Sunday. Soon i will be written examinations. Most of my meetings
are weekends and family functions is on hold for now but if i have any little
weekend opportunity, i spend it with my
family.
What are your hobbies?
Listen to music, watch videos, travelling and engage in
politics.
What is your take on domestic violence insecurity in
Nigeria?
Domestic violence occurs as a result of lack of regards to
culture, principles and disrespect of the partner and the law rule of law. Agents
of government had been compromised by mere naira and kobo. There is No social justice, people judge by what they feel
and not by what they investigate,
respect for family name and dignity is of no importance and i think we
need to redirect our efforts and school curriculum to accommodate and correct
the social problem called domestic violence. Domestic violence metamorphosed
into insecurity because once criminals are getting away with minor crime of
human abuse they tend towards major crime. More so, when they are been hired by
politicians or when government hired them for their shady deals or political
thugery, then they become boss because they are already working for the person
that will judge their matter.
