The Speaker said this on Friday while hosting the Muslim Ummah in the community in his office after the Jummat service.
The Muslim community who was led to the Speaker's office by the Chief Imam of the Osun State House of Assembly, Alhaji Abdulfatai Adebisi, explained that it is their custom to visit the new head of the Assembly and pray for them in the office.
He further explained that the Muslim community comprises Muslim faithful in all government agencies and parastatals in the Assembly neighbourhood, NTA, INEC, CORRECTIONAL CENTRE, AIT, CBN, FIRS AND FEDERAL HIGH COURT.
Alhaji Adebisi prayed for God's guidance and protection for the Speaker just as they assured him of the support of the Muslim community in discharging the responsibility of his office.
In his response, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun said he is happy to receive them and that he will continually make his door open to them at all times.
The Speaker who attested to the efficacy of prayer in the affairs of man, called on the Muslim leaders to support the House and Osun Government as a whole with prayers to better lives of Osun people.
"I believe in the efficacy of prayers and I want to besiege you to continue to pray for us. I can say with confidence that we have good intentions coming to this office but we need God to make those intentions manifest," Rt. Hon. Egbedun noted.
"I promise you that I will continue to be accessible and I'm ready to support you" he added.
